Hey guys, Glenn Sveum here, ACA member, full time firefighter/paramedic (15+ years), part time canyoneer (19 years). Anyhow, last year I was up in Alaska and I ran across something very, VERY cool. Yes, they are expensive, but yes, they are absolutely worth every penny. Check out these two websites. www.alpackaraft.com and www.packraftnewmexico.com
After using one all summer I finally got a buisness license and became an official "dealer" of these awesome rafts. They come in 4 sizes starting at 4.5 pounds. They pack to the size of a two person tent. They are designed as wilderness rafts and are the most durable raft you can buy for the weight in the world.. I love my Alpacka raft and take it everywhere. They are great for rafting, fishing, camping, paddling alpine lakes, and yes, canyoneering. Anyhow... as I am a dealer now I can offer ACA members a $50 rebate on any boat/paddle combo, as long as you go through me directly. Also, all decked boats are 100 bucks off until Dec 15th! For a kick, go to "youtube" and type "alpacka raft" or "packrafting" and check out the videos!! Take care and be safe guys!! :fishing: I am going to attempt to ad a few pics. One is of me inflating the raft using the "inflation bag"
