Went through Fat Man's Misery a couple days ago and thought I would just report on the water level for the East Fork of the Virgin River.

I had a friend do it a few weeks ago, and he didn't mention any problems with the river. I checked the level of the river- at the recording station near Springdale it said the river was at about 6 ft and 140 cfs, about where it was when my friend went.

At the end of Fat Man's Misery when I got to the East Fork of the Virgin, the river was pretty high, but manageable. I don't think I would ever do it if the gauge near Springdale read higher than 6 ft/140 cfs though. There were a few places where the water was up to my chest, and the current pulled me faster than I liked... it made me pretty nervous. Most of the time I could wade along just fine though.

I got the gauge readings here:
