The longest rap, Slide Falls, is a bit over 80 feet. There's a good anchor near the edge, but a 100 foot rope just reaches bottom.

I led a group through this canyon today. Rainclouds looked ominous but we were fine. The weather here is important because it is such a narrow canyon that flash flooding has been known to occur. We had a great time! This a tame, but pleasant little fissure in the San Gabriels.

Part of a group that went through Bailey yesterday 1-22-2011. It was also pretty cleaned out, not as much growth in the canyon bottom due to the recent rains. Looked like someone went through and replaced a lot of the bolts, who ever did it did a good job! One thing of note, at the second to last drop a hole has appeared before the large boulder on the canyon bottom. You can now either rap over the boulder or rap through the hole under the boulder, its kind of cool! Anyway its was a fun day 13-14 rappels, we spent about 6 hours in the canyon.
