Directions to Trailhead
The trailhead for this canyon is the same as the trailhead for Corona Arch. From US 191, head east and south on SR 279 for 10 miles. You will see signs for Corona Arch and a well used and large gravel parking lot.
Approach
Follow the trail for Corona Arch a short distance until the established trail crosses railroad tracks. Instead of continuing on the trail to Corona Arch (which you should see sometime!), turn left and continue down the railroad tracks for a little more than a quarter mile until you find a way through the fence that runs along the tracks with several large boulders on the north side (N38 34' 45" W109 37' 54"). Find a cairn marking a trail heading north and follow that for 3/4 of a mile. The main canyon will be visible on your left. At this point a side canyon will join the main canyon and the main hiking trail will go off to the east. A spur trail will go northwest into the drainage (N38 35' 16" W109 37' 55". Follow the spur trail down into the drainage keeping an eye out for a large dryfall located in the main canyon. Follow the drainage a short distance to the dryfall (N38 35' 17" W109 38' 00") Look for a trail that bypasses the dryfall on its west (left) side. Cross the top of the dryfall and scramble up to a the bench above on the east side. Follow the bench north paralleling the canyon. A trail will eventually form. Follow the bench for 3/4 mile to where the trail drops into the canyon bottom. N38 35' 42" W109 37' 34"

Description: Standard Route
Head down canyon. There will be some short narrows and a pool you will need to wade for about 20 feet. On the far side of the pool is the only rappel- 50 feet from bolted anchors.
Exit
Continue downstream and you will find the path you took in. You can follow your tracks back to your car, or find another way underneath the railroad tracks and south back along the highway
