Description: Standard Route
The hike up the crack may be the most difficult part of the route, and it isn’t too difficult. Once you have completed the crack entrance climb, you will be in a big bowl at the top of the rock formation. The Tierdrop Canyon drainage is easily visible- the opening towards the left with obvious rope burns. Once you have identified the drainage, it is one rappel, then another, then the final rappel, each one getting bigger and more impressive, with the finale at about 100 feet, mostly free hanging. Once at the base of the final rappel, follow the ledge to the right until you can find a place to downclimb or set up another short rappel.

Variations
In the bowl at the top of the crack climb, there is another, less obvious drainage immediately to the right of Tierdrop, referred to as ‘Not Tierdrop’

Exit
Once at the canyon bottom, head out by following the wash until you intersect the Park Avenue hiker trail. Follow this a short distance to your car.
