Here is a link to an article by Collin O'Neill. He is a past member of the San Bernardino Sheriff's Cave Rescue Team. The article was provided by Paul Stovall and posted on the Tracker website by Jeff Lehman in order for the ACA forum to gain access. It addresses the question put forth by Koen in the bottom belay postings about half fisherman's knots on a carabiner. Hopefully this will trigger useful discussion.

Nice. I've considered using this knot as well because of its grip on the biner but didn't because I'd never seen any information on it. Maybe I will try it.
