This canyon is the equivalent of a dry keyhole cyn. Short, kinda ugly, but a good warm up none the less.

Catstair Canyon is located on HWY 89 halfway between Kanab UT and Page AZ. The turn is located directly off of the HWY right after House Rock Valley RD (the turn to Coyote Buttes).

Approach
Simply follow the wash, there is an interesting pile of old cars creating a retaining wall next to the HWY in the canyon. After 3 or 4 downclimbs, you will come to the first of 2 rappells, the first is about 40-50 ft and is a dual stage rappell. Look for a small window in the rock to use for the anchor. After this rappell, there is another small downclimb and then the last rappell. This rappell was done with a hook in a hueco in the rock. The second rappel is about 30 ft. After that, the canyon opens up to the valley below.
