What course would be the best to take for someone with a little bit of anchoring skills but wants to learn how to anchor for technical canyons? Is it possible to take the course or other courses in Southern California or do I need to Travel to Utah?

The ACA offers two workshops that are free to ACA members: Basic Skills Workshop and Anchors Workshop. Both are offered from time to time in locations that include southern California, southern Utah, Salt Lake City and Arizona. They can be scheduled in other areas, too, when demand dictates.

Rich, are there plans for the technicial canyoneering class to come to Arizona? If so, do you know when it would be?

Rich, that just answered my question about Moab in an email I sent you 2 minutes ago. DOH!

I teach a series of courses in Arizona every year in April. Very likely I will offer more than one series over the next 12 months, including later this year.

I'm anxious to hear about upcoming trainings also-- I'm in Utah right now, but Arizona isn't too far away, and the change of scenery would be nice.

There is a thread under courses and rendezvous about a course that may be scheduled this coming Sunday-Monday in Cedar City Utah if that works for you.
