A down-and-back trip to the Colorado River, fixing ropes, and ascending them on the return. The canyon has some narrows and a few rappels. With a nice river side view within Marble Canyon.

Permit Information
The lower section of Badger Canyon lies inside the Grand Canyon, so a permit is required for overnight stay.

This can also be completed as a loop hike. Once you reach the river, you can travel along the boulder slope up stream to the exit from Sevenmil Draw, or down stream to the first break in the cliffs that looks like you could make it to the top. This exit down stream is know as the 'Fishermans Exit'. Once you reach the base of the dirt and rock slope, make your way to the very left side of the slope. Eventually you will reach a section of narrow switchbacks and ledges with a couple short but exposed climbing sections and traverses. Once you have reached the top of the climb, there is a trail off and on, and a little more scrambling to reach the rim. Then head across the desert towards the road.
