A technical canyon trip down a rocky, but non-brushy tributary of West Clear Creek. Some climbing and boulder hopping are required, as well as 2-4 rappels of 20-80 feet. Your reward is some good scenery and a nice (if short) stretch of narrows. This hike may be performed as a down-and-back trip, fixing ropes, or as part of a longer loop hike along West Clear Creek through the beautiful White Boxes.

i'll add to the updated beta for the year.
all anchors in meadow are solid, no issues anywhere. instead of using one vehicle, you can cut 2.5 miles off of your hike by parking a car spot at the top of the exit hike.

You can cut off 2.5 miles but you'll burn 2.5 hours setting up a shuttle there...

Are most people nowadays going upstream when they hit WCC and going through the white boxes out at Cash Tank or downstream through the red boxes and out at Rim Tank?

seems to be quite a bit of foot traffic upstream. i'll have to check out downstream next time.
if you have people that are just along for the camp/ride, parking a vehicle is no sweat. guess i should have added that.

They can only bite you if you stop moving...so don't stop, it's only a 900 ft climb, :)

to make that 900 footer even worse, im pretty sure we took a game trail up to the top instead of the path. after looking at the area on google earth, im abour 99 percent sure we took a game trail. blah. :thmbdn:
