Lots of useless bolts have appeared in the canyon since my last descent 2-3 years ago. It appears many were stripped of their hangers, but the studs were left in. Seems to me if you're going to steal the hangers you should also pull the bolts? Excellent death triangle rigging technique at the one rappel. They did such a good job the first time they rigged another death triangle as a backup...so there appears to be at least some thinking going on...with no knowledge of proper technique.

Too bad people are buying power drills - money would be better spent on an anchors class.

First off, thank you all for your continued support. I am a new member, but I have used your website as a guide to exploring Arizona's canyons. I am attempting Minnow Canyon next Monday, and just wanted to know if anyone had some recommendations. (Bolts, trees to anchor to and so on). I am bringing two 200' static ropes, but was also thinking of ditching the second rope and bringing pull cord instead (biner block with a figure 8 on a bight). Any pointers from you fellas would be appreciated. Ill upload a GPX with POIs when I complete this trek on hikearizona.com, or on this site if possible. Thanks again, and have fun and be safe!
