A large chunk of the Angeles National Forest North of LA has been closed. The details can be found here:
http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/angeles/orders/
Per the current order (station fire) it will be closed until September 2010.

The good news is it looks like Rubio, Eaton, Bailey and possibly LSA are still open. The bad news everything in the Tujunga area is pretty much closed. This includes Great Falls of the Fox, Fall Creek, super cloud, and Suicide among many many others.

As others get additional info please post it to this thread. Rich can we sticky this until the closure is lifted?

The map the Forest Service released REEKS!

I took the legal description in Exhibit A (http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/angeles/orders/StationFireRecoveryLegals-01-09-08.pdf) and made a Google Map that better shows the closure area

Disclaimer :shy:
"This is not an official map and should not be considered definitive. It is MY interpretation of the legal description, your results may vary, offer void where prohibited, Subject to change without notice. Not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any defect, error or failure to perform. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from fire or flames, No solicitors. No alcohol, dogs or horses. No anchovies unless otherwise specified, your rights may vary from state to state. " :)

But if you notice an error or find something closed or open let me know and I'll make the needed changes (after verification)

Not sure when it went up, but there's what appears to be a very good map of the fire closure area hosted on ArcGIS (http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=2b2ba3a3177e476db65795fc82824fb 1).

The Angeles National Forest has reopened a large chunk of the closure area over the last 6 weeks. The Tujunga and Arroyo Secco areas are still largely off limits though.

You can find the latest map: http://maps.fs.fed.us/stationfire/
