This is an all day river hike and swim on the Olympic Peninsula. The total distance is about eleven miles, about five miles of it through two deep scenic gorges. It is nontechnical and requires no equipment beyond a wet suit. None the less, it should not be undertaken lightly. There is lots of swimming and frequently strong current.
