Thorp Creek canyon continues to deepen as you head down stream. There are a few short narrows and some easy slides. You will encounter four waterfalls. The first is about ten feet high and goes into a short slot. It is possible to jump from a small ledge on the right side. This is not a good idea, since the water is only five or six feet deep there. It is safer to rappel from a tree on the left. The second and third waterfalls are 8 to 12 feet, and are also rappelled from trees on the left. The fourth waterfall is 50 to 60 feet. It falls in a narrow slot into a pothole and then down a wall into a shallow pool. Below the falls the canyon opens up and flattens.
