A half mile trail leads to the upper cave entrance. If you go upstream, scrambling over rocks for about 50 yards you will come to a beautiful little grotto with a waterfall. This is called Lower Devil Creek Falls. It’s a popular spot, but few people visit the upper falls. Continuing downstream you enter the upper entrance to the cave. There is a good trail through the cave. A flashlight is a good idea. After exiting the lower end of the cave, you can either take the wooden steps back to the trail or continue down Devil’s Creek Canyon. The canyon is very scenic with overhanging walls and even a short slot. It is an easy and popular hike with easy wading in a small stream. When the canyon ends, bear left and take the trail back to the parking lot. If you wish to see the short upper canyon and descend the two waterfalls, follow the trail from the parking lot to where it starts going downhill to the cave entrance.
