West Quartz Creek has a short scenic gorge with two waterfalls. Water flow is light, so it is a good choice in early season. In late summer it may dry to a trickle. The canyon has a V shaped profile with vertical basalt cliffs below the rim. A trail follows the west rim providing fine views into the gorge.
