Rappelling and climbing at Multnomah Falls is forbidden. Above the main falls there is a scenic canyon with several waterfalls. This is a popular and fairly well traveled area. All of the falls are plainly visible to hikers. It is essential that no webbing or hangers be left behind. Rappels should be done with retrievable anchors, or removed afterwards.
