Norrish Creek is a small drainage penetrating the Coast Mountains in the area northeast of the city of Mission in southwestern British Columbia. The mountains enclosing the drainage are generally low and densely forested with second growth cedar-hemlock forest, but the stream itself has carved a beautiful canyon that extends over several kilometers before disappearing at the edge of the Fraser Valley. The route through the gorge of Norrish Creek is essentially non-technical, although numerous small cascades and narrows sections require some downclimbing, jumping and frequently long swims through sublime pools of clear water.
