Skwellepil Creek drains into the fjord-like Chehalis Lake in the Coast Mountains west of Harrison Lake in southwestern British Columbia. The stream originates near the southern part of the Chehalis high country, passing through a heavily logged-over valley before dropping through a small, but scenic canyon near the edge of the lake. The canyon is quite short, but the series of pools and cascades filling the polished granite of the gorge allow for a beautiful descent that is particularly refreshing in hot weather.
