I'm planning a trip down Wet Beaver Creek from June 10 - 13. We're planning on many swims and a bit of down-climbing. As I understand it, there's no rappelling required.

I have two main questions that I'd like to get some input on:

1. What will the approximate water temperature be in mid-June? Is a wet-suit recommended for this time of year?

2. We'd like to do a through hike. There are three of us. We are coming from Denver in one car and hoping to find someone down there to set up a car shuttle with. We'd be expecting to pay for this service.

Thanks, Scott Burger :)

Hmmm, I've never been to the area in June, in my opinion that's too hot, I'll make some guesses though...

Temperature: High might be 95 degrees, or pretty d*** hot, or hotter. Keep in mind Arizona is cloudless in June so there is no relief from the sun. I doubt you would need a wetsuit, you will likely find the water a welcome respite.

Oops, you said water temp. Nice, nice and cool hopefully.

Swimming: maybe, ...I would expect it at the beaver tail. You would definitely get wet.
Shuttle: I don't know anyone who shuttles there, but if you're willing to pay, maybe you'll find someone, free enterprise and all.
FYI: The FS has changed the rules, you cannot camp in the lower ~5 miles of the canyon, if I remember right.
