General description:
See Ouray Canyoneering By Michael Dallin

The Trip:
Party of two experienced canyoneers. The trip was as described in Mike’s book. Access is easy and we meet only one hiker. Water level is perfect, the pools at the end of countless small water falls and slides are clear of rocks and waist to chin deep. This is a wonderful half day.

Note 1: I live in Ouray and know the trails well. I scouted the exit onto Old Twin Peaks trail three days ago. Still I missed the exit completely. Since my partner lives on the creek and knows the neighbors, we exited at the road in town.

Note 2: When scouting the exit I encountered a large black bear 200 yd from the creek
