Accident in Tenaya Canyon

I've had word of a very recent solo canyoning fatality in Tenaya Canyon. There have been some press releases but the investigation into this accident is still in progress. I'm in touch with YOSAR and will post appropriate information when it becomes available.

I'm still in the process of getting the final report on this incident. The delay is on my end - YOSAR is being very helpful and is helping us make proper arrangements to receive reports minus the red tape.

FYI, this incident did not involve an experienced canyoneer. The individual had intended to do the Muir Trail and found himself lost in Tenaya Canyon. The cause of his death in still unknown.
