Sunday morning Bo and I met Greg at the Canyon Overlook parking lot and headed into Upper Pine Creek to Mountain of the Sun. Although we were doing the canyon we made the side trip up to the peak of the mountain as well. Where you go up to the canyon is a cool cave that Bo showed us, after we got back down from the mountain top. Then we headed to the technical section of the canyon. It was a fairly short hike from the cave to the first anchor. The canyon was fun and the rappels were great. Bo as always made the rope work look like a breeze --- even the 15' hanging anchor.
All went well until we were getting off the Zion Shuttle. I asked Bo if he had the keys to my van, that we parked at Canyon Junction, he said I had the key and we all knew Greg did not have the keys for sure. We got down to the van and looked and I remembered the keys are back in Bo's truck at the Canyon Overlook Trail. ~how embarrassing~ (I wont even mention how we messed up the shuttle the prior week)
Luckily the very first car that came by took us to Bo and Greg's vehicles and were all set.
Nice meeting you Greg! I hope you come with us on other trips.
