The intro to ACA Canyon Rescue courses usually includes some verbiage about learning skills that we hope we never have to use, so it is important for students to take the initiative to practice on a regular basis. Sure, it is a good idea to get out in a canyon or on a cliff somewhere and pretend you are conducting a rescue, but there are other, more productive ways to practice, too.
