Many of the courses, rendezvous and events listed here are offered by ACA instructors, guides and leaders, but the calendar is not limited to ACA events. Our goal is to serve you and support local and regional meetups and groups by providing one source of information that is definitely worth a bookmark.
Most of the events are imported automatically from various canyoneering sources, so there may be duplicate events if the organizers listed them in more than one place.
Events can be viewed as a chronological list or in calendar format.
If you are aware of an event that is not included in our calendar, please let us know. Submit events to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please contact the event host directly for details and registration.

ACA Canyon Leader 2 Assessment – Escalante, UT
August 2 @ 4:00 pm - August 4 @ 6:00 pm
To become a Canyon Leader 2 in the ACA you must pass the Canyon Leader 2 assessment. Your skills, training, etc can be from any place or any classes you have taken. Bottom line is you need to pass the ACA assessment. It is a comprehensive assessment of the ACA skills checklists 1-4 (Core, Aspirant, CL1, CL2) and in canyon assessement.
TAKE NOTE! – the skill checklists have been updated so make sure you have the current one which is located here: ACA Checklists (https://www.canyoneering.net/resources/)
There will be a written exam in addition to assessing your skills.
THIS IS NOT A WORKSHOP, meaning you should have a good understanding and know how to apply your skills already. You have some time to prepare and if you have questions or need clarification, please contact the assessment host.
There is no cost for the CL2 assessment.
